Connolly Printing LLC strives to be an environmentally conscientious printer and we use Nazdar UV inks in our production of signs. Our Nazdar inks are Ultra Violet curable and are designed to work with our automated M&R and Svecia sign machines (see video). Although UV inks look like traditional liquid solvent based inks, they are completely different. UV inks look like liquids, but they are actually solids. They remain liquid until they come into contact with the intense Ultra Violet light generated by UV reactors. When a UV ink is exposed to intense Ultra Violet light it cures instantly. Our yard signs can be prepared for customer pick-up or shipment directly from our automated take-off machines, thus reducing wait times and speeding the process of getting our customers their signs as fast as possible.
Connolly Printing understands that not all substrates cure at the same temperature thus having our new M&R UV carousel printing system gives us the flexibility to cure at rates ranging between 49 to 400 watts. Our M&R Switchback curing system is infinitely variable and accepts three different types of lamps: "Ferric/Iron Oxide, Gallium and Mercury Vapor (standard)" allowing operators to select optimum curing source and intensity for even the most difficult ink/substrate combinations.
